Summer storms

I haven’t had much time this summer, and yesterday Colorado let me know loud and clear that I missed out on it. The garden is a wreck and the chickens are mostly grown up, I guess it is time for fall- even had a fire in the wood stove last night!

I’m still working on the fiber mill and still doing some spinning when I get the chance, but not nearly as much time as I’d like.

Butchered four cockerels yesterday. Bringing my chicken count down to sorta reasonable (I guess I’ll count them and find out how many that actually is, although I have 3 or 4 more cockerels to butcher, 5 hens to sell and maybe 3 stewing hens to butcher before winter really gets here).

I’ve been telling myself that with fall starting, I’ll have more time to blog- but we’ll see!
