Yesterday we went from 10 chickens (4 older hens and 6 month olds) to just the month olds.
The four went to a local meat processor (10$ a bird and he plucked, wrapped and chilled, so that to me was reasonable).
The six are exactly a month old and they are at the mini dino stage. They’ve been acclimating to lower temps each day and yesterday the new coop was finished so they also went outside.
I’m looking forward to eggs in August! I haven’t had fresh eggs in ages.
